The next Monday we loaded up the kids, minus Brandt, Staci & Jason, to head up to Vernal. We hadn't ever been there to see all the cool dinosaurs so we thought it would be a fun little trip for the kids. After we got into town we had just about an hour before the Dinosaur Museum was going to close so we decided to load back up and head over there real quick. Well, as soon as we pulled out of the driveway from the hotel, Kjerstin's car broke down. After Tim figured out what was wrong with it, it was decided that it had to be taken to a shop to get fixed. So no museum and I took the kids and headed back to the hotel while they figured out where they could get the car fixed. Luckily they were able to get it started and drove it to the shop where they after much convincing Tim got them to get it fixed for her the next day. This of course meant we wouldn't have a car to take all the kids out to the sites tomorrow in Vernal. So, she had to rent a car. Fun times. That night at the hotel we took the kids to the pool though and they had fun. Seeing all the dinosaurs was really cool and Kardyn wanted me to take her picture with every single one.

While we were at the Temple on Saturday, Gene said that Kardyn wasn't feeling too well. We already knew that she had some allergies or a cold going on, but now I was pretty sure she had a sinus infection, so I called the on call nurse at her peds office and they suggested we take her into the ER (only place our Ins would cover) in case she had pneumonia.. Ugh. So we took her in, and it looks like it was developing in her lungs and she had a sinus infection so they gave us some antibiotics to treat all that. She started feeling better the next day so that was great. Then the same day Brandt was jumping on the trampoline with some of the older kids, and started complaining that he had hurt his arm. It started to swell up pretty big, so long story short I went with Staci to the ER in SLC only to find out he had a fracture in his arm, it was called a Super Condular Fracture and he was going to need surgery to put some pins in his elbow. Poor guy! So all of that was fun! Not really, but only adding to the craziness that already was becoming of this trip thus far.

After we went to Canyonlands, we drove back to Mayfield. We stayed the night there and then Aubrey left that next day. We took a day trip up the canyon with the kids and my parents that day. We got into a pretty heavy rain storm, but it was beautiful and Zane had so much fun. He was a little muddy, to say the least.
