We have been planning this trip for awhile, and didn't tell the kids until the day we left. Best surprise ever! We left for California on Saturday afternoon and stayed the night about two hours away from LA. We arrived at our hotel on Sunday, and Gene and Karen arrived Sunday afternoon. First, let me tell you that Tim found us an AMAZING deal for our hotel. We stayed at the Marriott Main Gate (about 1/4 mile from the park, we walked). We stayed in the penthouse. We had a loft with a bathroom and kind size bed. Downstairs had a full kitchen and a pull out bed in the living area. The bedroom had two queens. Which worked out perfectly for my parents and Zane to join us on Friday. Our hotel ended up costing us a woping $300 fort he week. Plus, we split the cost with Tim's parents so we only paid $150 for the entire week. Not to mention the hotel had a fabulous breakfast every morning, and most evenings had an event that included free food as well. We had two day passes for both parks. Monday we went to Disneyland. Karen brought Kardyn a Snow White costume that she had made for one of my nieces a few years ago. What a great idea. This girl got so much attention for the staff and especially the characters. She had Chip and Dale bowing down to her. So much fun.
Kjerstin had a friend make some cute Mickey bows for the girls, how sweet.
Chase got chosen to learn how to become a Jedi. It was super awesome, he got to fight Darth Maul.
The parades were all amazing. The fireworks show was the best! They had a live person, dresses up as Tinkerbell, flying around the castle during the fireworks. It was so neat!
