Winter Activites

Just before Christmas we got pounded with snow. Chase went outside with Tim while he shoveling.

Then on Christmas Eve Chase helped me make a few quick cookies for Santa

We had to wake the kids up on Christmas morning because Tim's parents wanted to come over and watch the kids open their presents. Let me tell you...Kardyn did NOT want to be woken up! It took her awhile to get happy. The best part was after we opened everything, she wanted to go back to bed. So she took a quick nap before we headed to my sister-in-laws for breakfast.

This was our present this year. We got a new bed frame when we moved (which was our early christmas present!) and we got the bedding for Christmas. It took me forever to find what I wanted! I love it!

Oh and I finally gave in and bought skinny jeans and these sweet boots. I had to buy boots because I litteraly have no shoes to wear in the winter in Utah. In Oregon, I could wear my heals and shoes with no socks all year round! But not in this freezing cold place! K, but I just have to add that these jeans are the most comfortable things I have ever owned! I never thought I would own them, but I love them! Much more practical for this Utah weather! Tim and I also celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary on the 27th! We didn't do anything exciting this year, I just can't figure out where all the time has gone! I can't believe we've been married this long!

So I had to share what I got at my "online party" with Recessionista the other day! This cute hat, ya know, it's really hard to take a good picture of yourself, I don't think I had any that were cute! Oh well, you can see that hat and that's all that matters

guess what I did....

preface: please excuse the ugly fat face picture of me......anyway, tonight my friend Shana called and asked if I wanted to go see the lights at temple square FROM A HELICOPTER! I guess she has a friend who is a pilot and teaches people how to fly at a school here in Utah. It was just a tiny one, only room for 4 people. I was totally nervous, never been in one before, but it was so awesome! We got to fly right down in by Temple Square, it was so neat to see the whole downtown from up above.

None of my other pictures turned out so this was the best one we could get.

my new sewing machine! Well, new to me. It's really acutally old, but I'm so excited! I need to take it in somewhere and get it working correctly, but I'm excited to use it!! And it's Pink, it's actually called a Pink Lady, how cute!

my semi-craftiness project

So thanks to BLOOM I made this fun wreath! It took forever though because Tooele has like no acorns! And mind you this was before the snow, and I still had to search all over town for them, and still couldn't find enough! So I ended up finding some randomly while we were in AZ for Thanksgiving. It was kinda funny though because I found them on trees at Wal-mart and Tim was totally embarrassed because I started picking them up! I didn't care, so anyway, I got home and started finishing my wreath, yeah like 3 inches short of finishing! So mad!! I blamed Tim of course for making me hurry up and leave while I was gathering them! Good thing my parents had to come back to Utah the next weekend and my sweet sister was kind enough to find me some more!

I figured I can put any color ribbon on it and use it for lots of Holidays since I painted it this gold color.

Lights

Last night we bundled up...WAY UP...and went to Salt Lake to see the Christmas lights at Temple Square. It was beautiful, but freezing!! We really enjoyed our hot chocolate on the ride home!

So we ventured to Phoenix to see my family for Thanksgiving this year. My sister and brother in law took us rock climbing, which was awesome.

Zane had a festival of sorts at his school so we took the kids to that. They had a blast, bounce houses all day!!

We had a great Thanksgiving this year, we really missed Uncle Austin though, hopefully we'll be able to see him soon!

Spindles

We got to see some dear friends of ours while visiting in Arizona, the Spindles. We took the kids bowling and then went out to eat lunch.

We're so glad we got to see you guys! We miss you so much!!
