You decide!

Help me decide! I really don't want to wait the 3 or so years it's going to take me to grow my hair as long as I really want it. I've been growing it out from all my previous short styles for about 3 years now. I'm actually not even sure I can get it all that long. I've been stuck at this length for awhile now. I'm just bored of it. So I found a few styles I like, the top one is a little bit longer. I'm not a fan of wearing my bangs to the side, but I think with the right product, I could get it to where it wouldn't bug me so much. 

These next 2 are the same style, and I'm not dying it blond.

I don't know, if anyone finds any other styles that are cute, let me know. I think I'm just ready to cut it all off!

Another 1st birthday

I just don't know where the time goes. I think first birthdays are my favorite! They are so stinkin cute, and I LOVE the cake part! 

I attempted to make a bumble bee cake this year for her 1st birthday. Not that she really knows, but it was fun anyway.

I should have made different frosting for the green to actually ICE the cake, but I was lazy and didn't want to, so I'm not to happy with that part of the cake. Kardyn seemed to really like it though.

Of course I wasn't going to let her dive into that one, so she had her own little one, chocolate of course, makes for a better mess!

Yes it ended up all over her hair, she loves to play with her hair, this is why she no longer keeps headbands in much longer than 5 minutes. Hopefully that will change soon.

I think she had a great party! She's walking around now, but only with assistance. She can say Momma and Dadda and Puppy Dog. We are so happy to have Kardyn as part of our family, we love her so much! Happy Birthday baby girl!

Lagoon Day

We went to Lagoon this past Friday for Depot Days. Tim can get discounted tickets through work, so we took the kids, Staci's family came, and Grandma & Grandpa. The kids had so much fun! They've added a lot more rides for kids since the last time I was there. The kids were able to ride almost every ride.

Kardyn started walking the day before, so now all she wants to do is walk. She really not very balanced yet though, so you still pretty much have to hold her hand. She insisted on walking with Uncle Jason around the park. 

Chase hasn't stopped talking about Lagoon since we left. He had so much fun, I'm glad we were able to go this summer. I have a feeling he's going to be pretty adventurous as he get's older!

bits and pieces

I just know this picture is going to be around a long time! We went to SLC to see our friends Tim and Amy this weekend. We had dinner and afterwards the boys kept saying they wanted bunny treats. Until they pointed them out to us, we couldn't figure out what they heck they wanted. They pointed to a yellow box on top of the fridge of dog treats, shaped like animals. So, they got one! Chase said "I LOVE IT!" I don't think he really knew what it was, but boy he and Jack loved them!

We put Kardyn in her new car seat this weekend, she'll be one on Friday. I don't know how these kids can stay in those infant seats this long anyway, they are so big in them once they get to be this old! Anyway, we had a long day into SLC this Saturday. There was a huge wreck on

 I-80 and they had it closed both directions. Well, we left our house at about 12:30pm to go into Park City to do some shopping before we met up with Tim and Amy. We get to about Stansbury (about 10 miles away from I-80) and policemen were turning us around. So we decided to try the canyon road that can take us into town, it's just not paved the whole way. Apparently lots of people thought they could do the same thing. Well, we got about 6 miles up and people were turning around telling us that someone had gotten their trailor stuck and we couldn't get through. So we turn around again. By this time it's like 2pm. Now I have to go to the bathroom and seeing as how we were still in Tooele, we go back home. Of course my kids wake up so they've slept for 2 hours while we were still in Tooele. Now the only way that's left out of Tooele is through Lehi, which takes longer. So we start again and take a detour around some more traffic and finally make it into SLC after 4pm. What a crazy day. Turns out that the didn't even open the freeways until about 9 or 10. Luckily we headed back home after that time and had no problems getting through. 

I also had some fun with some old friends of mine this week. I've known Candace and Susie forever, OK well, I met them when I lived in Pennsylvania, which I moved away from there after my freshman year of high school. So it's been a while since I've seen these girls! We took lunch to the park and let our kids play for awhile. We had fun and it was nice to see them! And yes I know I look like an idiot because I'm taking the picture, get over it!

This week we also went to the Zoo. Just a quick trip in after Tim and Jason got home from work. It was a great day because it had rained a lot, but not while we were there. It was pretty cool outside and that meant that a lot of the animals were out as well. I love the Zoo so I can use my kids as an excuse to go now! They had fun. This is a quick shot of them on the new carousel there. I'll spare you the pictures of the animals.

Parks & Puppies

Our family has been anticipating a visit from the Woods since we've moved to Utah, so you can imagine how much fun we had when they finally arrived! We were able to take the kids to the park and then go out to dinner. The kids had a blast, Chase couldn't wait to see them! I just love this picture of Jordan staring at "his girlfriend." We just say that because we want them to get married so our families can be around together all the time.....hehehe.

Chase and Parker had so much fun playing and laughing, just like old times...but this time, no fighting, that was nice!

This weekend we went camping and we helped out at the archery shoot as well. Since we are club members, we have to help set up targets and things like that, so we were pretty busy. But Rich and Kjerstin got a new puppy, Ellie. She's a 6 week old boxer and she LOVES Kardyn. I think it's because she's small, but Kardyn sure loves her too!

We had a lot of fun, despite the freezing cold weather on the mountain which was odd for June, but it was still fun.
