this and that

Things have been pretty crazy around here....my father-in-law turned 50....he wasn't so happy about that, but we had fun.

Kardyn had some "virus in her mouth" is what the doctor told me. Poor little girl had a fever up to 103 while we were camping. 

Here she is the next weekend all better and happy to let grandpa hold her, which doesn't happen often!

Apparently you don't have to be a really little baby to still swing! She still had a fever at this point and was just pretty fussy, so I put her in the swing, and she fell right to sleep. It was pretty stinkin' cute!

I think Kardyn could probably see Pepper (the dog) in this shot. She is soooo funny when she can see an animal. She makes this monkey face and and sound and flaps her arms like she's going to fly or something. It's sooo funny. She loves Staci's cat Lilly (who Chase calls Wuwy)

Here we are at our first archery shoot of the year. Tim and I (and his family) belong to an archery club, where we can go out and shoot at 3-D targets with bows. The kids love it, and they have their own little target, so we got Chase a little bow this year, and grandpa and grandma are trying to teach him how to shoot it. It's hard to get a shot of him actually DOING it, because he's too fast! After this weekend, he walks around telling Tim and I that he wants to shoot a deer...NICE.

Grandpa and Tim took the kids on a hike while we were camping over the holiday weekend. They had lots of fun. We just went up a canyon here in Tooele and it was a pretty crazy weekend. We saw a guy hit a deer on his four wheeler right at our camp. That was crazy because the poor deer didn't even die, so that was a whole thing. I went down the canyon to call animal control so they could come take care of the poor thing. Later that night a police man came up so he could put the thing out of it's misery....well we were watching and we thought he had just a 22 to kill it with, until he fired his gun...it was a shotgun. It was so loud up there. Anyway, here are some pictures of the kids on their hike.

Here is Staci's new baby boy, Brandt. He's a cutie! He's just a few weeks old now, but he's a spitting image of his dad.

Worthy of note

Have you ever seen these handbags? They are called Miche. Who ever came up with this idea must be super rich because they are so cool! I was able to go to a purse party and get one last night....I absolutely love this thing. The bag can be replaced if anything ever happens to it, and all you have to do is get the outside "shells" when you want a new look. They have deals and stuff on those once you already have the bag. So much fun, and super cute

Ok, one other cool thing I wanted to mention. My mom and dad have been telling me about this sleep aid that they are taking.
My dad started taking it because his Parkinson's was affecting his sleep. It doesn't help you to fall asleep at night, but it makes me feel like I slept sounder when I wake up in the morning. I don't know, it's kinda hard to explain, but I feel less groggy when I wake up. You can buy it at Wal-mart, and the directions say to take 3 pills, but I've only been taking one, I think Tim may be taking 2, but it's really helped a lot, especially getting over just having a baby and waking up so much in the night, I really like it! Thanks mom and dad for the suggestion!

SUN

Tim's company sent him out to Maryland for some training last week, so I thought I would take advantage of the free time and take the kids to visit my parents in Arizona. Which by the way we drove and I didn't get lost, and found it all by myself! I was very proud! The drive wasn't even that bad, we stayed the night in St. George with my Uncle and drove the rest of the 7 hours the next day. Not bad!

We had lots of fun, it was already super hot there though, like in 100's. Don't know why anyone would ever choose to live in that hot place, but WHATEVER! Eve and Chase had lots of fun playing though, my mom bought this sand and water table for them to play with outside. We only put water in it for them. It's funny to hear these two talk, they go on and on about so many funny things. It's hard to see Chase growing up and having his own imagination!

I also was able to see my dear friends the Spindles while visiting. They came up to take family to the airport so I had to steal some of there time and we went to brunch. The kids had a blast! Kardyn LOVED "baby Bryce" (even though he's older than her, I still call him that!)

Dan and Kardyn...we are so excited for Dan because they might have an opportunity to move closer to us, I hope you get the job Dan!

My sister and her husband Jardan took me rock climbing! It was so fun! I have to say I've never actually climbed on the mountain, it's always been a rock wall in the gym type of a thing. This was soooo much better! I really had a lot of fun, and was pretty impressed with myself! This is Jardan at the top getting ready to repel down to us.

Here is a view from up where we were climbing. I sure do miss Oregon! I'm not such a big fan of these dry, hot, desert places!

Here's me! I didn't go up much more than this, but it was really fun and I can't wait until I can go with them again next time I visit.

Aubrey and I took the kids to this local Mall that has this splash pad. It's really fun for the kids and it's nice and shady! 

I was also able to see one of my friends from high school that lives near my parents. Jon and his family met up with us at a splash pad and we let the kids play. It was nice to see a familiar face, especially since we've moved, I need more of those!

Jill just had her ADORABLE baby 2 months ago, her name is Mia. She's so cute!

Chase wasn't too excited about getting in the water that day, oh well! He had fun playing at the park though.

Oh, random last shot, I should have zoomed in more, sorry! But I wish the Kohl's by me when we lived in Medford had deals like the one by my mom in Arizona. I got these jeans for $11, normally like 58 or something like that. I love them
