When Tim used to live here as a kid, I guess they used to fish for crawfish all the time. Tim has been wanting to take the kids, so we went out a few nights ago.
I guess you have to wait until it gets dark because we only caught a few at first. Staci and I left before it got dark because Kardyn and Brandt didn't have jackets.

This is how many they came home with!
Brandt thought they were kinda funny looking
Staci and I were making fun of the little ones who had lost claws and started growing new ones back. This was after they were cooked, we found like 5 like this
Anyway, the kids had a lot of fun, and those little scary things actually taste pretty good!

So I just have a few random pictures from what has been going on, which is usually nothing, that's why I never post anymore! On that note, I had my camera out taking pictures of the kids while we watched "ellie the dog" this past week, and Chase wanted a picture with his mom.
This is the only cute shot I could get of Ellie, so I had to sacrifice Kardyn's eye's being closed. We watched my sister-in-law's dog all week while they are having a sprinkler system put in their back yard. It was fun to have her around!
Also last week I was able to get together with some girls that I grew up with in Naperville....I'm telling ya, everyone comes back to Utah at one time or another! Anyway, we had lots of fun catching up and visiting, we'll have to do it again!

I couldn't resist

It's no secret that Kardyn has NO hair yet...I've tried and tried to put headbands on (she pulls them off) or a pony on the top of her head (she pulls it out) so today I thought I would try pony's in the back!
They've stayed in all morning long! I'm so excited! You can even tell that I'm not really prepared for this because my rubber bands don't match (see previous photo)
She looks all grown's so cute! Here is my attempt to snap a shot of us both, but it didn't work so well.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Look at my yummy cake Tim made me for my birthday! He's always up to a challenge, so I found this recipe online. It's a coconut cake, it was so good! Then on Thursday we were able to go on a date, which was nice! We went to a chinese place called Asian Star, and then we went to see Harry Potter. Kinda funny though because the power went out in the middle of our movie, so they let us go into a showing that had started an hour later, so we saw 45 minutes of the movie twice! Oh, not to mention 4 free passes! We had fun anyway! Happy birthday to me!

Facebook friends

Thanks to facebook I was able to re-connect with a friend that I haven't seen since I was about 15 I think...when we moved away from Pennsylvania, Brittany and her family moved away also. It was the summer before my sophomore year in high school, her family moved to Missouri, and we moved to Chicago. We went to EFY together that next summer I believe, and then we've been out of touch since. I'm telling you the only thing I like about living in Utah so far, is that somehow everyone moves back here and we get to see each other again! We had an awesome dinner and then she shopped at the Gateway and Brittany introduced me to Ben's cookies...which are fabulous by the way! I'm so glad we were able to see each other again, hopefully this is just the start!!

Temple Open House

Last Friday we were able to attend the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House with Tim's cousin and family. It was really cool, especially since we were able to take the kids with us. The funny thing is I think that this is the 4th Temple in the Salt Lake Valley, and were we live, the closest Temple is still an hour away. When we lived in Oregon, the closest Temple was 15 minutes. I just think it's kinda funny.

None of the pictures that we took of Chase turned out well...I really don't love one more than the other!
Anyway, it's a beautiful Temple and we had a lot of fun. I think the last Temple Open house I went to was in high school, and if I'm not mistaken, it was the Kirtland, Ohio one, so it's been awhile!
