I just had to share my cute picture of me and Kathlene! We have sooo many together and I think we finally found our favorite one! We've been friends since like the first week we moved to Oregon, like 4 years ago! She already knows how much I love her and thank her everyday for our friendship!

As if....

As if things couldn't get any worse around here, actually, I shouldn't say that because I know they could, BUT....this afternoon I went out to my garage to get some thing out of the freezer for dinner and noticed water all over the garage. It took me awhile to figure out where it was coming from and after moving lots of stuff, decided it was the water heater. Just what we need. Fortunately, we have insurance on it and I just have to pay a service fee for someone to come and figure out what's wrong with it. I'll let you know what happens later, someone is supposed to come within 24 hours.

UPDATE: I now have a brand new water heater, cost, $55. I'm sooo glad I have insurance!!

4 Month Appointment

Kardyn had her 4 month check up today, she is weighing in at 13 pounds and 6 ounces and is 25 1/4 inches long. At least I think so, I can't read the nurses handwriting to save my life and can't remember how long she said she was, but that sounds right! This is one of her funny faces she makes, she puckers out her lips and blows up her cheeks, it's pretty funny! She's starting to look around at everything and is suddenly very interested in her brother. She turns her head to where ever he's at, and loves it when he tickles her!

The worst day....

Ok, so it wasn't the worst day ever, but I don't think it could have gotten much worse. Yesterday Tim was laid off from his job. We kind of saw it coming, they had already let 3 people go last month, but I still don't think it was something I could prepare much for. We had already talked about what we would do in this situation, so I felt a little bit more comfortable with that, but I still had a hard time yesterday when he called to tell me the news. I think I probably cried for like 2 hours. I'm so blessed to have good friends and an awesome ward family. Crissy watched the kids for us this morning so we could go to the Temple. What a great way to start this crazy day! We have had so much to do today and I've been at peace with myself and feeling good today about what we've got going on. I've found out so much information about things I didn't know I could do in this situation and I know we'll be OK. I think one of the hardest things for me was knowing that I have a mortgage payment and I don't want to loose my house. Especially since we've put so much work into this thing and now is so not the time to sell. After figuring out unemployement and trying to factor in that I'm going to be going back to work, I know for sure we'll be able to keep our house! I'm also having a hard time dealing with the fact that we may have to move. I'm so not ready to leave here, we've finally set down roots and this has been home for us for almost 4 years now. Although a plus would be that we might be able to be closer to our family and since my Dad has been sick, we've wanted to be closer for a long time. At least anywhere closer to my family is also closer to Tim's too, and that's going to be good. But who knows, we may end up super far away or still stay in town. It's still up in the air! So I just wanted to get things off my chest and venting always helps me feel better. I just feel so blessed for the things that have prepared me for this situation already and I know this trial will only make us stronger. I'm so thankful for my wonderful friends, I just want them all to know how much I appreciate everything they do for me and especially my family. You all mean more to me than you know and I love you lots!!

Early Halloween Party

This last weekend we went to a Halloween Party! You can never pass up a good party! Chase had so much fun, he loved the ghost's hanging from the tree.
These are my mummy cupcakes, I know I suck at piping...
These turned out a little better, but it was get from a tube, much easier to use!
We are lucky enough to have Tim's mom who loves to make Halloween costumes for all the grandkids. Since Chase still has a hard time grasping the concept of Halloween, I've just borrowed a costume that she had made a few years ago for my nephew. Same with Kardyn, she's Tinkerbell!
This is Janice and her cute daughter London, she hosted the party!

Adam as Robin Hood, Chase as Buzz Light Year and Parker as a black bear, what cute boys!
Here are the babies, minus Jordan who was a cute skeleton!
We played "mummify your mummy", that was fun for the kids!
We also carved pumpkins, Chase wanted me to carve a Spider, ours is on the end on the right.

We had lots of fun and can't wait for Halloween and all the other parties we are going to attend also! It's so fun for the kids to be able to wear their costumes more than once. Until then...

Random weekend pictures

Since Chase has been potty trained, he has become super independent. I don't know if it's his age or something else, but all of a sudden he wants to do EVERYTHING on his own. Including getting undressed, or at least trying. Usually he's too fast and I can't get my camera fast enough, but I caught a few, I thought they were pretty funny.

Sometimes he just does funny stuff....totally random.
Most of you who read my blog know that Tim and I clean his office building on the weekends for extra money. Chase will go to bed and Kardyn usually sleeps in her car seat. However, she'd been fussy, so I just layed her down under this desk and she fell asleep. I just thought it was cute!
We also went to a Halloween party this weekend, I'll post pictures from that soon. It's for sure a Monday because I have loads of laundry and dishes stacked high that have to be done! Not to mention I'm feeding the missionaries tonight! Lucky for me, my husband wants to make them steaks so I don't have to cook! Well, at least the main dish! So stay tuned for more pictures!!

fun pictures

Just wanted to share a few cute pictures.
We had gone out on a walk this morning and Chase threw a fit because he didn't get his rock back after he threw it twice. So he was not so happy. But after he calmed down he wanted to hold "baby Kardy"
Then he didn't
Then he had to give her a kiss
Me and my cute kids! (please excuse Chase's hair, it needs to be cut really bad! Gee I wonder where he get's so much hair from?!)

7 Oaks

Yesterday was a lazy day, and the only thing we really did outside of the house was to go to a local produce farm. They have yummy yummy stuff. They also have a maze and pony rides for kids, but it started to rain when we got there. We just tried to take some pictures of Chase. This is the only shot he would hold still for because he was sitting on a tractor.
These are cheese smilies because he didn't want to sit there while Tim took the pictures. My brother in law Jason always asks how we even get pictures of the wild man, they should all come out blurry because he's always going, going,!

I just love babies while they sleep. Most of you who read my blog already know that though. I have a picture of Chase just like this, but I couldn't find it to post, and I don't have time to look for it harder. Oh well!

Just Peachy

Last night I used the peaches that I had left over from canning to make some yummy Peach Cobbler. See, I try to take these pictures to make my food look good, but my camera just doesn't do it justice. It's really too bad we can't smell through our computers either because it was yummy!

However, I had a moment...I totally burned my arm on the oven while taking it out, I don't even think I've ever done that! I'm pretty sure I've burned my hand, but the top of my arm! Oops! (or as Chase would say U-pees) It hurt really bad last night, this picture is from today. I put ice on it last night, as I watched Survivor. I even had to take some Asprin! It was painful!

Help me!

Last night while I was making dinner Chase was keeping Kardyn entertained. Then I decided to get my camera and take some pictures, since he was bugging her and she looked a little helpless. I love this picture! Chase loves to give his sister her bink but is usually trying to stuff it in her mouth rather than just give it to her.
He loves to hug her, maybe a little bit more than he should!
Ok Chase, you need to stop....
Stop poking her....
Ok, that's more like it

Out of like 15 shots, I actually caught a smile!
Kardyn with her Daddy
She's such a slobber baby, she's always blowing bubbles....notice how wet her clothes are
