Today was Chase's second day of swimming lessons this year. It's kind of nice because he has the same teacher that he had last year (not that he probably remembers). Anyway, Cohen and Parker are in the same class and they all seem to be doing well for the most part. Yesterday, this lifeguard was about 4 feet farther away from the boys. He must have noticed that we had escapees yesterday and decided he needed to keep a closer eye on them!
The kids kind of play on the little step while the teacher takes them out around the pool. Chase has decided when he gets bored that it's time to get out. He only jumped out once today, better than yesterday!
Chase did much better today with the teacher, yesterday I think he just didn't know what to think! He did his kicks and went under the water well.

Alright, so Chase doesn't say a whole lot of these cute silly things yet, mainly because the only time he slows down to talk is while he's in his high chair eating. But I love how so many of my friends write down the cute things their kids say and it's such a great way to remember all this stuff so I thought I should start doing the same. Tonight I made this sweet and sour sausage stuff for dinner and I was telling Chase to eat his pineapple. Well, the next thing that comes out of his mouth is "sponge bob...OOOHHHH" Yeah, that means my son watches too much of this stupid show. He really does watch the learning shows that are on the Disney Channel, he loves those! However, they are not on at night while I'm trying to make dinner without my child trying to reach up on the stove and burn himself, so this show often gets turned on around dinner making time so that I can actually MAKE dinner. It was just funny to see him make a connection between something like that!

We also took the kids to the local fair that was going on this past week. They had fun, I just had to post this picture of Indianna because she looks so grown up! I can't believe this girl was only 5 months old when I first met her, now she's almost 9. Time goes by so fast! The kids had their faces painted, the lady did a really good job. She even got Chase to hold still long enough to get a spider painted on his face!
Some of our friends at church have a 15 passenger van, so they let us borrow it to drive over to the coast! It was so nice to be able to have us all fit in one car!
This was the day that I thought I could literally fall asleep standing up. I was so exhausted. I think waking up in the night to feed the baby combined with the emotional everything else that was going on, had finally caught up with me!
Here we are all pilling back into the van. It was a fun day and we stopped to eat pizza on the way home! The kids had a blast.
On Sunday night we went camping up at Hyatt lake and Tim's Aunt Dawn and her family also joined us up there. This was in the car on the way there, I think Rich had the right idea!
Now this is the real Chase! There was nothing I could do to stop him from eating dirt, and not just once or twice or a little bit of dirt, I'm talking HANDFULLS of dirt! Yes, he is for sure a boy!
