Christmas Time

This year for Christmas we stayed at home, it was really fun! Christmas Eve a family in our ward invited us for dinner, so that was fun. Christmas morning was great, Chase finally understands what is going on. He couldn't wait to see what Santa had brought him! He had a lot of fun playing with all this new "cars" toys, and his favorite was his Handy Manny tool set from Santa.

He carried this thing around all day long.
Kardyn even likes it....that is if Chase will share!
We hope you guys all had a great Christmas, sorry we didn't send out Christmas cards this year, and we didn't have time to put on into email either, oh well! Hopefully next year! Happy New Year!

How many years?

Today is our 7th anniversary! Holy cow where has the time gone! We don't even have any digital copies of our wedding photos, but I did find these! Engagement photos! Anyway, I just wanted to say how grateful I am to have met Tim. He's changed my life and I know I've changed his. We've been through trials together that have made us who we are today. I know I'm a better person with him and I love that he can make me feel like the most important person in the world! I'm so lucky to have him and my children are lucky to have him as a father. I can't wait to see what the next 7 years will bring us! Happy Anniversary Tim, I love you.

Santa Pictures

I'm excited for Christmas this year because Chase is old enough to know what's going on. He's been really excited to see Santa...Crissy and I took the boys to see him one day while we were just walking by in the mall. Ever since then, he's wanted to go back. So we went last weekend, and put Kardyn up there with him. He had fun, but the people there only let us take 2 pictures (who does that!) and we couldn't get Kardyn to look up. Oh well, at least she's in the picture and we'll know she was alive then! Chase asked Santa for "pat" who is a character on a show he likes called Handy Manny.

Randomness of Kardyn

I'm just trying to get some pictures posted before Christmas comes and then I have like a million to post! So here is one of my favorite pics that Lidia took while we were cutting down our Christmas trees.
These pictures were taken with Tim's phone, so they aren't so great, but I still think they are really cute. She's in the tub and she has a washcloth over her belly so she doesn't freeze to death!

The Life of a Sugar Cookie

For whatever reason I have never been much of a sugar cookie person, baking them I mean. Maybe because I've never found "the recipe" or maybe I'm just not good at these! I don't know. However, I decided to be adventurous and try again! I found a recipe in my collection and called Crissy for her frosting, she makes yummy frosting! I also decided that I don't let Chase cook with me enough. For those of you who know my son, it's probably a good thing, however, I thought it might be fun! So, he helped me make the dough and cut the cookies out, which he liked a lot.

He still made a mess, but that's what little boys do best!

Chase wanted green frosting, so green it became! Mind you it's Sunday night, so we didn't have fun candies to make them all fancy like, but I found some sugar sprinkles in my cupboard, so those did the trick!

So I finally have a few minutes to myself! The first two pictures are just random of Kardyn, actually from a few weeks ago. She's been scooting around pretty well on her back. It's funny because she arches her back and pushes with her feet so she slides on the back of her head, if that makes any sense! Anyway, it's cute! She loves to play with her feet!
This pictures was from the first time we put her in this toy. Chase LOVED this toy when he was little. She can get around in it pretty well now. The seat slides up and down and can turn.
Last Saturday we went to cut our Christmas tree, it's only $5 for the tag so that's nice! We went up with 2 other families. This is Jack, he said he was trying to put the tree in the truck!

Lidia and Neil, I don't know what it is with the boys, but these two pictures...they must not like to have their pictures taken!
Carrie and her boy Sam and DJ in the background doing who knows what!

So I'll try to be better at posting, I miss being at home with my kids. Working has been tough for me, hopefully there will be an end in sight soon! We'll keep you posted!

Family Pictures

We had our family pictures taken today so go check them out! Here's a link to the GALLERY and also check out her SITE as well! Thanks Janice, I can't wait to see them when they are done! She is an awesome photographer!

Thanksgiving in Arizona

For Thanksgiving this year, we flew out to visit my family in Arizona. Aubrey and Jardan and their little girl Eve, live there as well. Austin flew in from Chicago and then we were one big happy family! The weather was amazing, it was about 70-80 degrees and cool at night, and believe it or not it rained while we were there! Here is Austin with Kardyn after eating our Thanksgiving dinner.
Zane loves to catch lizards in his backyard. He found a gecko and both of the kids wanted to hold it. I can't believe they stood still long enough!

Although Chase did get a little jumpy, it actually jumped from one arm to the other right after I took this picture, it was cute, then we has frantically trying to shake it off!
A trip with Uncle Zane just wouldn't be complete with out playing with his guns!

My mom has this old jumper that all of us kids used when we were little, so we put Kardyn in it. She likes it but she still hasn't figured it out yet. I brought it home, so hopefully with enough practice, she'll be a pro!

Uncle Austin asleep with Kardyn!
Papa and Kardyn
Papa with Eve and Chase

I love this picture! They took a bath and Chase made the weirdest face! We had so much fun and Chase hasn't stopped talking about the airplane we got to fly on, or playing with Eve and he misses his Nana, Papa, Aubrey, Jardan, Uncle Zane and Austin already!

Playing Catch-up

Ok, so I guess this is where I start. We've been out of town, and also with me working now, I find I have less and less time to blog! So, I'll start with Twilight! Crissy, Linda and I went to see it opening night, so that would be the 12am showing! It was fun, we waited in line for an hour and a half until 10pm when they opened up the line so we could go into the theater. Then we waited 2 hours for the movie to start. It was crazy! Sooooo many people were there! But it was fun! Once I was in Arizona my mom and sister and I went to see it also. I enjoyed the movie LOTS more the second time, which may have had to do with the fact that the second time I didn't have teenagers giggling the whole time! Anyway, I still loved the movie, obviously the books were better, but I can't wait to see the next movie!

7 Weird Things About Me

K, we'll see how this goes because I just did one of these not too long ago:
If I had lots of money, I would buy Lots of things online, if there is such thing as a "closet shopper," that would be me.
2. I like Peeps. Yes, those gross marshmallow things that they now make for every holiday, and I like to eat them after they get hard. I open the package and let them sit for a few days, then I can eat them!
I don't like bananas. I'm not a picky eater, but for some reason, I don't like them, oh and cottage cheese too, can't eat that either.
4. I don't know how weird this is, but I'm not coming up with many more good things, I like to play poker. Tim taught me how, his family likes to play, so we usually have Texas Hold'em tournaments when we visit. It's fun, but I'm not very good!
5. I love the noise a jar makes when you first open it and break the seal, you know that "pop" that it makes, yeah that.
6. I don't like CATS. I don't know if that's weird, but it will have to do.
7. I'm not very nice to people who try to sell me things that I don't want. I mean I'm not rude, but I'm not afraid to tell people no.

There ya go, that's all I could come up with and I'm not tagging anyone!

Casino Night

For the past 4 years we have been attending Black and White Casino Night with Kathlene and Travis. It's a fundraiser for a local hospital. We usually get our pricey $75 each tickets for free from Travis for being a sponsor. So we go, dress up and leave the kids at home! We had lots of fun and ate yummy food!
When we got home the boys were talking so we decided to take some fun pictures with Kathlene's fancy camera!

As you can see, Kathlene is obviously a better photographer than me seeing as how her pictures of me look awesome and the ones I took of her, well, don't! I'm sorry I couldn't get a good picture! I'm not so good at that! Thanks for having fun with me! I hope you get better soon!

I didn't catch many pictures of the kids on Halloween this year. Chase was too busy trick or treating! He had soooo much fun! We went to our ward's trunk or treat first and then took him around the neighborhood with some of his friends.  They all had so much fun, Chase already tells me he wants to "do Halloween again!"
Tim caught these next pictures of the kids, I thought they were adorable.
