First Swimming Lessons

So it's finally here! This was Chase's last day of swimming lessons, and he actually didn't do as well as he has in the past, but that's ok! Enjoy, and don't forget you can turn off the blog music at the bottom of the page!

Slide

On Friday it was really nice outside, so Kathlene blew up her big waterslide for the kids. I figured Chase would love it, but I was terribly wrong! It may have been because the water was so cold, I'm not sure, but he screamed and yelled real loud! At least I got some cute pictures!

family pictures

So I finally got my picture frames for our family pictures and Tim so lovingly hung them on the wall for me last night. The empty frame is for a family picture with Tim's side of the family. With all the kids, we never seem to get a decent shot! Oh, and I know this picture is blurry, I just didn't think it was that important to take another picture and re-download it onto the computer. So...sorry about that. I just wanted everyone to see my awesome picture frames I got on eBay...all those frames for under $50 including s&h! What a deal...and custom too! Oh, and for those of you who don't know, I am officially starting to work on our eBay business with Travis. Here is a link to our store! http://stores.ebay.com/chfurnishings Our store is just getting started to keep checking back for new items to be listed!

more books

Alright...So I'm reading another book. I've already read Blown Away...my mom actually lent it to me, the author is from Naperville, which is where I grew up, so It's pretty cool to read these books. The author uses landmarks and street names from Naperville, so It's fun to read and know where the story is taking place. They are good thrillers if anyone likes to read mysteries!

8 Random Facts

OK OK OK, I"m not good at these things but everybody is making me post 8 random facts about myself.

1. I hate bugs, mostly spiders and things that fly.
1. I scare too easily...Tim is teaching Chase young.
3. I am a little tiny bit OCD
4. I can't keep my hair in one style for too long because I get bored with it
5. I have found my new hobby to be reading, although I still LOVE to scrapbook and knit
6. I love sushi
7. I love to organize things, anything, things at home or anything that has to do with doing things in an order, oh, and this includes packing....mainly just a suitcase...I've moved too much to enjoy packing my house!
8. I generally have to have a plan for things, not really day to day, but if I go somewhere on vacation or things like that, I have to know what's going on or it drives me crazy.

Girls Night....In?

I guess you could say we had a girls night in because other than the traditional dinner and a movie thing, there is not a lot of fun stuff to do in town on a girls night. So we left 9 kids between the 4 of us with the men, and went over to Carrie's house and played with our hair and make up and stuff. This is Kathlene, Anja, Lissa and Carrie's before and after shots. I'm glad we all got to hang out together, we had a lot of fun!

peaceful

I love sleeping babies! Chase has a nasty cold and so he willingly took 2 naps today....which also allowed me to finish my book. So now I have to wait until next year when she's done writing the next one! I'm sure I'll read them again before that though.

Eclipse

Alright so I just started the third book in my series and the second book was great! I'm so anxious to read the next one. I'm only about 100 pages in, and it's so good! The main character in this book is so easy to relate to, I think that's why I love these books so much. The author is such a good writer, that you can just feel all of the emotion that is going on...seriously...go read them. I promise you won't be dissapointed!

Again

Alright, I'm really getting into these books now and I just finished the first one tonight and I'm staring on the next one. I'm so far into them that my regular life is taking a backseat while I read all I can! But that's ok, I needed a break from all the other things for awhile. Plus, I've started so many hobbies since Chase has been born, I can't keep up. It's nice to sit down and read an interesting book for once! So far so good.....you guys should really read them!

My thoughts for the day

So I think I figured it out...I was talking to my mom awhile ago on the phone and I was telling her that I was homesick...but I couldn't figure out why. I've never lived with them in Arizona before....though we have been able to visit them quite a bit....but I think it's the sun there! It's ALWAYS sunny! I don't necessarily love the heat there, but I just love how sunny it is all the time! I just makes me happy....her house is always full of sunshine!

Poor Baby!

So yesterday I was in Travis' spa store and whenever I go in there, I just put Chase in one of the empty hot tubs becuase he can play and stay in one spot! Well, he fell while he was inside of one, and I didn't really see him fall, but I knew he hit his head becuase he had a huge bump. So he was fine, no passing out or anything. Then later that night, we noticed that he wasn't really using his left arm at all. He wasn't using it to stand up, which was difficult, and he would cry when we tried to move it. So we decided to take him to Valley Immediant Care, it's cheaper than the ED. So the doctor took some x-rays of him and didn't see any fracture but could definalty tell something was wrong with his elbow. So they sent us to an Orthopedic this morning and they took more x-rays, and they didn't see a fracture either. They did say there is a common fracture in children that can't be seen in an x-ray and he could have that, but he thinks he probably strained it really bad. He said he did see a lot of swelling there. So they put him in the hard splint thing and wrapped it up with an ace bandage. I just have to watch him for the next few days and see how he's using his arm, but other than that he should be fine. I just feel so bad for him, he was screaming his head off last night when they were taking all those x-rays and poking his arm to find out what was wrong. So here are some shots of his little splint thing, it's really kind of cute!

I'm Sorry!

So I want to apologize for the lack of interesting posts in the last week or so. I've been totally devouring this new book that my sister-in-laws were raving about. Kathelen gave them to me for my birthday, so I've started reading this one, it's the first of 3 books so far and it is really good! I reccomend it to anybody that likes a good book. Secondly, my new calling at church has found me pretty busy thus far. I am the ward enrichment night leader and I have been trying to prepare for our "Super Saturday" activity in September. It's pretty much a crazy craft day at the church and so I've been working on that alot. Not to mention some side business we've decided to work on with a friend. He has previously owned an ebay store before, and is teaching me how to take it over since he is pre-occupied with his own REAL business that he owns here in Medford. I'll let you know when that get's going so you all can check it out. Other than that, I feel like my poor son is being neglected because all I want to do is read my book and I also really need to do some scrapbooking. I'm also working on getting one of our family albums on my blog, so that's a work in progress also. We'll keep you all updated!

Skippy

This is Chase's first encounter with a hampster. Kathlene's daughter Lexie has her class's hampster for the summer and I wanted to see what Chase would do if I let him touch it. He thought it was cool for the most part, other than he wanted to grab it, which he probably would have strangled it if I would have let him hold it! This is how Chase gives hugs, he kind of leans is head sideways, so that's what he's trying to do here.
