This one's for Kathlene

I know this spider is no where near the huge one that Kelli found, but I found this one outside yesterday on Chase's pool. It was so wierd looking with it's legs and all...and those of you who know me know that it was even hard for me to take this stupid picture! It looks like that thing could jump on me at any second! I was scared of it, so this is as close as I was going to get!

Chase's New Thing

Chase is definatly growing up fast! He's starting to play on his own more and understand things better. His new thing is carrying around this silly bag that actually came with his high chair. He likes to put his little gears in it that are part of another toy. It's funny though because if I put anything else in it, he get's mad. He's so funny!

Rafting The Rouge River

Yesterday Kathlene and Travis went with Tim and I on a little rafting trip down the Rogue River. Isn't Oregon beautiful! We're so lucky to live here!

These are the kyaks we went in. They just seat two people. Kathlene and I pumped them up all by ourselves while the boys went and dropped off the car at our ending spot.

This is Kathlene and Travis.

Kathlene and I.

Travis working hard, row that boat!

So now here's the fun part of the day. Towards the end of our trip, we were going to hit one last big rapid, I guess it's like a 3 on the scales of 1-5. It's one of the bigger ones on the river that you can go on yourself without having a guide. Tim and I decide to go first and just as we were about to hit the first rapid, which was the worst one, it spun our kyak sideways so we didn't hit it head on, which was bad! Our boat flipped over and we went under! As Tim was struggling to get the raft infront of me to hold onto, I was freaking out! I don't know why I was so concerned about my stupid shoe, but it was coming off so I was trying to get it back on. Doing that was causing me to get sucked under the boat instead of floating with my feet up like Tim was trying to tell me to do. All of our stuff was floating down the river and Travis and Kathlene were picking it up as they found it for us, so nothing was lost! I finally let go of my stupid shoe and was able to hang on to the boat with both arms, but I still was freaking out. Tim was great and tried really hard to keep me calm. We eventlually got past all the rapids and safely back in the boat. I think I was shaking for like 20 minutes afterwards. But it's a funny story now and we had lots of fun! This was my worst battle wound. The rest were scrapes and scratches on my knees and legs. Tim only knocked his ankle once and it's a little swollen.

I just wanted to show Grandma that Chase loves his Mr. Potato head...thanks!!

Fun in the Sun

As you already know, I'm ovbiously a picture fanatic. I love to take pictures....so yesterday when my camera was almost ruined, I was devistated. Kathlene and I took the kids to this little park that has water coming up out of the ground, and a big gust of wind came and blew water all over Kathlene and I. So my camera got wet and for awhile I couldn't get it to stay on. I was so upset! Then of course Tim came home and turned it one once and it worked just fine. So, at least my camera isn't ruined and I can still take lots of pictures! This is Chase and Allison.

So this place like lets the water come out at different speeds, well one time it went full blast and Chase was right in the middle of a circle of fountains and he couldn't get out and I didn't have my swimming suit on, so he was a little upset that I couldn't rescue him. But it made for cute pictures!

This is Bryson and Chase, soon to be running around together!

Chase just really wanted to drink the water more than anything.

I guess it was time

This is Chase enjoying his dinner last night before I went to work...he made a mess! Notice all the hair he has.

This is what he looked like when I came home from work 2 hours later...no more hair! Tim cut it all off while I was gone. My baby looks all grown up!

Far Away Family

My sister-in-law Kjerstin sent me some pictures of my nieces and nephew so I thought I'd share! This is Collin being himself.

This is Abbie, she is one month older than Chase.

This is Collin and his big sister Indianna. I miss them so much! They live in Utah....far far away from us!

Free-Fishing Weekend

This weekend was free fishing weekend where you could fish without a license. So we went to Hyatt Lake which is only about an hour from our house and went camping! Chase did a lot better than last time on this trip. Our campground was a little bit more secluded from other ones so he could run and play a little more. This is the view of the lake from our campground.

We met the Kings up there, this is Lissa and Jeremy being a dork!

And Ashley and Dallas Stahle came also....so sad because they are moving in a few weeks up to Portland. We're excited for them though, Dalls got a great job and they've already bought a cute house! We look forward to visiting them up there!

The best thing about this weekend was that camping was free AND they cooked hot breakfast for the campground on Saturday and Sunday! They look like they are enjoying their food!

There was a horseshoe pit at the campground so that was fun...the kids enjoyed that!

This is Ashley with Lissa's kids...Jaden, Kyla and Ella.

Chase seemed to enjoy eating sticks, this was his favorite past time!

Ashley and I getting ready to go out fishing. Needless to say none of us except Jeremy caught any fish that we could keep. They lake had lots of little bass and catching those was fun! We all caught plenty of those!

So Chase has learned how to climb up things, usually it's my couches but this time is was the table!

Lissa and I in the smoke from the hard-to-start fire.

Tim is our resident food cooker! He enjoys cooking us food while we camp. Apparently Jeremy and Lissa had flames coming out of their dutch oven when they were cooking their dinner, so we shared our yummy chili with them!
